Unless I'm mistaken this community is about innovation. Making his prototype is a long way along the implementation process and beyond from 'pie in the sky' stage.

This whole debacle doesn't give me a lot of faith in the ethical integrity of their leadership. This is a straight mafia move. Do you a small favor for free and then come back later and demand your lifetime loyalty. That being said, it's

You don't know me and I'm just starting to post on HN, but I've read a bit of your writings and you're clearly a brilliant guy. I recently saw a thread from a couple years ago where a few people made the flawed assertion that the aggregate

Thanks for the link, but this confirms my initial suspicions. Japan's GDP is about 1/3 of the US, yet according to your link there was only $0.2 Billion of venture investment, as compared to $17.7 B in the U.S. That's roughly 1% of US vent

I took a look at the RSVP for this and notice that all were 'Western' names'. Is there a startup culture amongst local Japanese? I ask because there are tons of smart Japanese, many of whom have developed awesome products for their employe

Jonathan, I just checked out the HiiDef team site. Looks like you have a fantastic group of talented people who actually seem pretty cool. I'd love to setup something similar in the near future. I'm sure I'll be seeing big things from you

Looks like you've done a good job getting pre-launch traction, i.e, LifeHacker profile, etc... Any practical tips on getting pre-launch buzz?

In his original post on reddit, the guy admitted to having a supply of weed in his apartment along with the GPS tracker. This could have went south pretty quickly.

GoDaddy just increased their prices. I tried to buy a domain a few days ago and it was now $14. My coupons from referral websites no longer work. I suspect they are increasing revenue as they prepare to sell the company.
