Have you fixed the problem where opening any moderately large document in chrome on android would just lock up chrome entirely? :) The editor was clearly trying to load the whole thing!

How reasonable is github's account recovery process? I imagine it won't be long until a high impact maintainer loses their phone and doesn't have any recovery codes saved.

Is there a generally supported way to back up an entire Linux installation from the device itself while it's running? Is there a way to do it without backing up all the os packages? With docker I can stop the service, then snapshot its

The argument they make is that it's OK because they got your details from a "public" data source, plus guesswork. E.g. LinkedIn plus your company domain. They're still supposed to notify you when your info was transferre

As a counterpoint: I find the implicit imprecision caused by having poor/no divisibility a constant frustration in my day-to-day life. For volume: US based recipes very often resort to "1 cup", and I generally find they'

Aren't we talking about AR not VR? Hololens is AR too. So this is for things like projecting onto surfaces or creating 3d models for presentation. Hololens's big example is elevator repair where it projects datasheets onto walls s

Your isp is legally resident in the country most likely to want to spy on you. There are also very few isps per country, so it's less work for the attacker to cover everyone they care about. There are vast numbers of vpns, so total cov

The requirement for isolation tools is the dumpster fire . C#/.NET/NuGet provides system wide package caching and project level isolation. Javascript/npm doesn't bother with the caching, but still has isolation without

GitLab's runner agent software doesn't support a local git cache. GitLab.com Saas agents have no sticky-ness, so basically always clone.

I have yet to find a host that has at all usable Git LFS pricing though. GitLab is $60/m (edit, per year? unclear in pricing page) for 10GB storage and 20GB/m transfer. So, I can checkout my repo twice a month!? GitHub is similar,

Is £500/y really worth a difference you'll rarely notice? Streaming needs 20Mbps max, so it's only large downloads like games which will take an hour or two. The savings pay for a high end phone every year, or a complete desk

Interesting. I think this is only a problem because npm made the "files" attribute optional. To be honest, I can't see why you would ever want an include by default approach to package building not explicit inclusion.
