Having just been through the recruitment hellscape last year the take home tests are absurd. Some companies are asking for whole weekends worth of work before you even get to speak to anyone. Needless to say if a company is asking for an 8

I agree that the tone of the article is off but I don't agree with this statement: > Obviously there are inefficiencies with big companies, but complaining about needing to do documentation, or basic project management? This sounds

It would be really inefficient to store this as a full HD video for thousands of users. If you store and mouse movements, scroll events, clicks ...etc and you know what the website looked like then you can replay these to produce something

Yes you're correct also local labour laws. One countries generous holiday package may be below the legal minimum for another. Most companies I know that operate internationally have subcompanies in each company they have employees in.

One big point about remote companies is that most companies even if they are remote still want employees that are in a similar time zone. So if you're in Japan it's unlikely a European company will hire you as the times zones are

Yeah a lot of orgs and employees are pretty toxic and Slack and teams makes it very easy to be like that. I wonder if there is a tech solution to this or if it's something that has to be handled outside of the tool.
