Not really true - France was the loudest voice but they were representing a lot of other EU countries. E.g. Slovakia (50% nuclear today, 70% nuclear production next year) was also a big proponent, or Czech republic...

I think the spikes behave a bit differently than original, but I haven't compared. You can't run through them because they will activate and kill you, but you can slow walk safely. But in this implementation I slowed walked right

Trying to eradicate would change the environment and conditions and would favour species that are resistant to our eradication attempts.

A colleague is working on the same project with an Air 16GB and doesn't complain. It's crazy that it doesn't even have active cooling and can be used for serious CPU intensive work. The 16" model was a big Apple failure.

I "downgraded" from a top spec Macbook Pro 2019 16" i9 9980HK with 64GB RAM to the new 14" M1 Pro with 32GB. Fans are at 0 RPM all the time, I haven't heard them yet. It compiles the same Android project without a s

Intelligence and civilisation is not the goal of life or evolution. As long as the species is able to reproduce and is not cornered into a situation that requires adaption (as our predecessors once were) they can stay unchanged or without d

mapy.cz is miles better in terms of hiking maps, sattelite/plane maps and regular maps compared to Googe Maps - at least in Czech Republic and Slovakia. And their apps have offline mode.

I think matrix LED lights are not allowed in US? But yes - having matrix headlights is a huge safety benefit. I am driving on high beam most of the time and only small parts are dimmed if there is a car in that sector. Works really well and

I had the newest X3 with iDrive and I think I never actually touched the display itself - the "wheel" was perfect, much faster and safer. There was literally no need to touch the screen.

Nice to hear that someone is still producing these tubes! What is the life expectancy of such a tube if switched on constantly?

That buffer land can be forest and lots of living creatures. Not a solar panel covered wasteland.

Most (or all?) EU citizen have state issued IDs that are basically mandatory for every single citizen. UK doesn’t have a mandatory ID.

Yes. A lot of people in EU don’t have passports because they don’t travel outside of EU. An ID is sufficient.

Most plastics will get brittle over long time, at least the older production ones (modern plastics have better plasticisers) even when kept in good conditions. Exposing it to UV light will make the process faster. But even O2 exposure will

I am not sure what mechanism is Google using. But Android apps can talk to each other on the same device and you can restrict this to only applications that are signed with the same certificate (and this is guarded at the OS level).

They don't - without special permissions on newer Android versions (10+). There is an ANDROID_ID but it's scoped to your application on Android 8.0+, reinstalling the same app signed with same key will give you the same key but it
