I made this site where you can only have a single post. The idea is to spark creativity and thoughtfulness on users. Last week out of curiosity, I installed Plausible on it (a privacy respecting google analytics alternative). It has been a

I had mine at http://danielvz.cl/ but I wanted to create it again, got sidetracked and built a new project instead ( https://app.pressnt.net ). The story is that I was going to make my own blogging platform from s

Last week I launched a site where you can only have a single post and it hit the HN Frontpage. It was a very humbling experience and although there's some regrets, I'm glad I did it. Here's a recount of my experience.

I've heard of finger and remember finding it cool. The memory might've lived in my subconscious while making this site, but it wasn't something I had in mind while making this site.

I just read through some of your “Ideas” repo. Congrats on being so prolific. You can make a table of contents by using [TOC], and you can make a link to any heading using it as a #id link: https://app.pressnt.net/post/

Thanks for the kind words :) I get your point, but the idea is to strike a balance between something being meaningful and relevant. As the user, you are in charge of that - deciding what to keep and what to delete. That adds a taste of FOMO

PSA: dark mode is kinda broken. I’ll work on it later today. The site respects system preferences so this is why it appears broken to some. Sorry about that.

I resonate with this as well. I learned to program as a hobby but now it’s my day job and although I enjoy it, it’s not the same as coding in my free time. Currently I’m building a small social network where you can only post once, edit it,
