Catalyst was a nice idea, and while buggy at release, it was as per usual for Apple. But yeah, once SwiftUI released it was a no-brainer this would happen. There's no way Apple would invest further into AppKit/UIKit after releasin

There's no APIs for managing notifications on either iOS or Android, you'd require a jailbreak/root to do this. Discord does let you customize notifications pretty well.

It has always worked. It uses Google Speech-to-Text APIs to solve the audio captcha. You need to get your own API key if you want it work all the time, rather than use the dev's key.

What you want is a newsletter management / email marketing / mailing list program, not a mail server. Selfhosting an email server has its challenges, and when you're using it to send what people may consider spam, those chall

The interesting question here is how much market share will Bing take from Google Search with the existence of Bing Chat. They probably raised a fair amount (That they even raised their search API costs by an astronomical level), but if Bar

Still on Gitflow. It's rather simple for a new employee to understand, meshes in nicely with CI/CD systems and the release processes of the places I worked at.

I don't think anyone will. When it comes to these Apple v Android benchmarks it's really just to flex. Reminds me of video game console "wars". Nowadays most "standard" apps are cross-platform, but considering

I think it makes sense to do this, mainly because Bitwarden's official server is AGPLv3. This'll help avoid conflict between the two.

At least I haven't found it myself. I find OneNote overall worse than its "competition", but since it's one of the very few cross-platform handwriting apps, I'm still using it. It did make a switch from iPad to Sams

I do agree with many points with the OP. I looked at this, manually updated my phone app and saw myself locked out, just like that. I do really like SN and their large featureset, especially the editor variety, but this sort of thing has ha

Can't get the app to work unfortunately. I'm out. - The views don't scroll, so my 13 mini can't ever reach the confirm buttons. - Confirming the email was rough as the email accept link would deep link into the app, but

It does look nifty, but without the tooling, I don't see myself replacing Mermaid anytime soon. For example, VSCode doesn't have live previews for D2 which makes it awkward to work with.

You don't have an option. Apple does provide software updates for longer, but the moment they're cut, most apps will stop getting updates. This is because Apple's lack of backporting APIs forces developers' hands to rais

Inkjet printers are a scam. But I've wondered why they even sell laser printers, since inkjet is just far more profitable with the made-to-fail printers and the malicious way they market ink cartridges. Guess this is one answer to that

I don't think Mozilla has a choice here. Chrome just has the sheer market power at the moment. If Mozilla went down a different path, extension developers would likely just favor Chrome (and MV3) as that's where unfortunately most
