Question for the crowd: if using the OpenAI service in Azure, is that included in the retention? OpenAI say API access but don’t specify if that’s just their endpoints or anyone running their models.

From somewhere in the depths of an old reddit thread, someone recommended asking candidates "How fat is Kim Jong Un?" Instant hang-up.

Fun fact that was dredged up because the author mentions Australia: GPS points change. Their example coordinates give 6 decimal places, accurate to about 10-15cm. Australia a few years back shifted all locations 1.8m because of continental

I loved dreamweaver when starting out. Never got on with the WYSIWYG (hence moving on), but its ability to read your CSS file and suggest classes was great. MX was the pinnacle in early 2000s. More relevant to me though, I miss Fireworks so

It is valid. I’m running 8.4 and with autoloading etc it all works as expected. Maybe the language you’re arguing against isn’t the same language anymore.

I think you’re being a bit disingenuous here. Almost all packages are vendor and package prefixed yes, but your own code from very easily be as simple as: namespace Me; function test(){} ——— use function Me\test; test(); Conflicting package

We currently use Metabase for SQL reporting, so I've been looking for something to allow actually changing values for a while. That being said, I don't think I would want to touch this. Reading through the code, it looks like a) i

The site runs off of a tiny little server at home so I’ve got some very aggressive firewall rules. Anything from the usual bad countries, certain signatures etc are blocked. Reduced traffic to 1% of previous load.

Semi-related but I needed a CAPTCHA on my site[0] mainly to block comment form spam and settled on repurposing a fun method I’d seen before. Is definitely not foolproof (or hard at all), but I really liked making it. [0] https://

The last few point releases have been very stable, so normally within a week or so. Obviously this relies on having a pretty good test suite (we run ~8,000 tests in ~60 seconds so not too bad for us).

Is there a simple BOM for making something like this without a Car Thing. Would an arduino/rock chip with a tft touch screen work or does it warrant pi levels?

I didn't mean it quite so insultingly, but yes, even a very modest server would handle that kind of load easily. You're not particularly high throughput (a few requests per second?) and I imagine the database is fairly efficient (

I love the idea of this but, given the traffic numbers, this could run on a $4 Digital Ocean droplet and have the same result. They've burnt over a grand just to use vercel. Maybe I'm just older but I don't understand the log

Only about 1800ft total elevation, which isn't much when you average it down and take into account a couple of hours here and there to swap plasters, eat some scoff etc.

I did a 24-hour running race a couple of months ago. Didn't hit my goal, but still came back with 50 miles under my belt. To me, the bliss is the moment I forget I've been running for five minutes, or 15, or an hour. I can't
