It does affect trust to some extent. For example I could have had control over a domain a decade ago, got a trusted cert, then let the domain lapse and MITM it later after it was acquired by somebody else with my still valid cert (if they n

There's an extension for SQL Server Management Studio that does it (MSSQL) as well. I don't think it's really recommended for prod DBs though.

Sometimes manufacturers put a bit of blue Loctite on the threads... makes the torque needed to initially 'break' the threads/unscrew a bit higher. I wouldn't be that concerned, buying a replacement screw kit for the HDD

Could one not argue this comment itself is a middlebrow dismissal? I don't think it makes sense to discredit comments just because they're not positive.

What other rights are there and how would they be enforced? I think you mean to say it's morally wrong or unethical and I might agree in some circumstances.

In Canada any party on a phone call can record without the consent or awareness of other parties. In the case of calling customer service, the agent you end up speaking to is very likely not the one actually doing the recording, but they ar

It's single party consent, the party recording doesn't have to be present. If at least one of the people present at any time are aware of the recording device they grant consent by choosing to work on the vehicle, the same way you

I write and do all other stuff requiring dexterity with my left, but I use my right to operate a mouse. I can use my left as well, but I learned to use my right hand for convenience.

I've heard the same complaint about the USB flash drives failing. I run an ER-8 but have had no issues. I think it may have been a bad batch or something. Some people have also had issues after installing OpenBSD on them without limiti

The War Amps key tag service doesn't require postage. You place any keys that have a War Amps tag on them in a Canada Post mailbox without packaging or postage and they get returned to the owner. It's been running since 1946.
