It's worth pointing out how extremely far ahead Apple seems to be in terms of CPU power and efficiency. It tends to go under the radar a bit because it's not easy to run your own software on an iPhone, and most apps on these thing

What is interesting here is that multiple news outlets are calling this "AMD's revival". As far as I'm aware AMD has always been kind of "second rate" in the mobile space - until now, apparently. There's n

Red Hat has committed to keeping Python 2 on life support until 2024 as part of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 [1] so you can get security fixes for Python 2 until then if you use CentOS 8. Canonical will not provide long term support for Pyt

As a total dummy on macroeconomics, I find myself having the positive take "hey, we were probably moving towards some recession anyway, might as well get it over with in one go". I'm saying this because the graphs go up again

This is a good list for differences between FreeBSD and Linux distros, but describing them as advantages FreeBSD has over Linux seems problematic to me. Except for firewalls and core documentation (but what about "community documentati

Well that's what I'm trying to say :) Touchpads on Windows and Linux are "fine" at best (high end Dells are good enough to get out of the way I've heard) and "terrible" at worst. On Macbooks they're c

I don't think "caught" really is the proper word to use, when they credited the PCSX-Rearmed project in the menu of the Playstation Classic. It might be considered somewhat embarrassing they didn't make their own better

It's worth noting that the Virtual Console SNES emulator doesn't really have a reputation for inaccuracy. For sure it's not as accurate as Higan/bsnes but by all accounts it's pretty decent. Of course it was made fo

You could argue whether the attack on Zoom is warranted. But don't start revising history to make your point. E2E has never meant that. There's no such "old notion". I can't find any sources saying HIPAA would use

The point is that the term "E2E encryption" was never used for "there is TLS involved". Because that's not what end-to-end means. E2E encryption was always clearly defined as "only the two communicating parties
