You're absolutely right here - DRS is just a little too short to be useful without a massive pace disparity between the two cars (attacking car is on far better tyres, for example). Hamilton has said that the point where turbulence kic

It might not be trendy like Markdown or YAML (both of which I like, and have their uses), but to markup text with higher-level semantics (i.e. not relating to formatting) the best option is XML.

If anyone doesn't want to install `npm` and wants to know what client to use, the Haskell/Stack one is nice. It's pretty snappy and has a sane syntax † and data directory (~/.tldr/). † Unlike `tldr.py`, which requir

Interesting stuff, but is there a more obnoxious way to tell a story than in a twitter thread? I was hoping that Medium was starting to solve this problem, but clearly not everyone has adopted it.

I hardly think that Mutter is the be-all and end-all of Wayland compositor performance. I could see Ubunu plumbing a re-moulded Mir back into their distribution further down the line (while keeping the rest of the GNOME environment). I'

Rustup is very useful for managing toolchains. For someone new to Rust, it's probably best to be familiar with it from the outset.

I hope it picks up momentum among the broader public - while it can feel like the entirity of HN is on Firefox Nightly, there's a much larger leap to be made in overturning the broadly held 'common sense' view that Chrome is

I'm aware of the difference, I just don't think it matters here - in either case there's an additional level of indirection when compared to Golang fat binaries.
