Neither of your links say that passive houses are easier in cold climates.

Snow is not helpful for solar heating, as I said, and if your roof has a big r-value to begin with the snow is not adding a ton of insulation.

It’s not “their” laws. It’s “our” laws if you live here and have a vote. The government doesn’t own us. We elect representatives and leaders who make laws (or appoint appointees who make regulations) following a prescribed process.

Then change the law. If the law only counts when whoever is enforcing it happens to like it then we are all going to have a very bad time.

That’s true, although solar heating in warm climates can be mitigated in some ways (roof color, attic structure/ventilation) and solar heating in cold climates is tough with a layer of snow on the roof. Bottom line is that there are ma

They need to comply with the law, and the law needs to be enforced. Otherwise it’s chaos. You can’t just have someone unaccountably granting exceptions to compliance. It’s next to impossible to track and ripe for corruption. I agree the law

I think what the other poster meant is that “cooling in a warm client is less energy intensive than heating in a cool climate” which is generally true. This is partially because the temperature deltas are smaller. If you are aiming for 70 i

I dunno. I’m about 40 and male. But I think a successful and attractive 41-year-old woman who wants kids would be insane to go with someone over 50. That’s just too old. Definitely wise to set a 50 year hard cap and aim for 41 or lower IMO.

This is a super weird attitude to me (a man). I was absolutely looking for a partner, and I did not care even a little whether she cooked. And physical attractiveness is extremely subjective and not the highest on my list (although obviousl

Impossible to answer. Social cues are tough. It all depends on how it was said and how it was meant - could be a totally innocuous comment or something to be concerned about. For some people, “why have you not been taken” may mean nothing m

It does sound like standards or the dating process may be an issue. 120 dates in two years seems like a huge number to me. But I’ve been out of the dating scene for many years. I think the main things you need to look for are: 1. Someone yo

Headline is ridiculous. Even if the earliest embodiments start to go off copyright, Disney doesn’t have to stop using them. It just means other people can, if they can do it without treading on the later works.

I’m male. And I can’t imagine I would ask about it on a first date. But if you’re up on fertility issues, it’s a legitimate concern. As people age, the rate of fertility success inevitably goes down, and the risks (e.g. Down syndrome) go up

Rare divorces because the social pressures and stigma of divorce encourages people to marry young and stay in bad marriages. Not sure how that helps.

Honestly in most cases people don’t need strollers at all, or they would be fine with a cheapo umbrella stroller for $18.99 from Wal-mart. People just can’t seem to help over-spending on baby stuff.

I expect NFTs are most analogous to owning a copy of a work, not the copyright. So you pay $330k and you get rights equivalent to prints of a piece of art. This may come with an implied right to publicly display the art, or may not, and
