Wow I don’t agree at all. I use the flashlight all of the time, and I rarely if ever activate it accidentally. I actually used to hit it accidentally more often when it was a 3D touch button rather than a delay-based button.

I used to love taking the bus when I lived a block away from a major bus line. It took maybe 25-50% longer overall but I could actually use that time rather than driving and sitting in rush hour traffic. Honestly I’m not sure why anyone is

I think the better way to put it is that very few people care about faceless credit card companies or banks knowing what they are buying, or about the government having subpoena access to those records. That's very different from not c

This is a good one. Same with daycares. It used to be that the teachers would tell us if we needed to actually do something or bring something in. Now, our kids miss out on school events because they are buried in single lines in one of the

Have you tried digital ear thermometers? They work well enough for us, just based on the seeming consistency between "forehead feels hot" and "thermometer found a fever."

It sounds like you didn’t read the article. The discussion of slavery is just brief context for the majority of the article, which is about the post-slavery period.

I feel like so much has moved to Discord. That’s great for immediacy and back-and-fourth interaction but it puts all of that information that used to be Google searchable into a black hole of Discord searches.

Politicians have been doing their best to improve the economy for a very long time. If we have to wait for them to succeed before we take action on climate change, then we are never taking action on climate change.

Wow. I lost much less than that, a bit more than 20 lbs, in the last 2 months and it feels like a big change to me. My old clothes fit again and I don’t snore as much. It’s different for everyone I guess.

It's literally painful to do an essay exam on pen and paper. Only part of the exam is an essay exam, but modern law is going to be practiced on a computer, and it makes sense for the test to be administered on a computer. (if only they
