Not a great analogy. It’s more like if you steal their lunch you are more likely to steal money out of their wallet if you run short. Or, if you’ll lie on an expense report, you are more likely to falsely shift the blame to them when the ch

I mean, that's not implausible. This sounds like exactly what would happen if one person had a specific font preference and happened to be in charge.

Out of curiosity, have you tried the Apple ones? After years of using the button-less trackpad that simulates clicks with vibrations, ones with buttons just seem weird.

Just wait until the buyer falsely claims they didn’t receive the item. Or that it’s broken. Or that it’s not as described. I rarely sell there any more because it’s just not worth the hassle.

The M2 Air is basically perfect design-wise IMO. My only mild complaint is that it feels almost too dense and heavy given its size.

This is an increasingly niche need. It’s rare for people to upgrade HDDs or RAM in laptops.

I wouldn’t call the display limitation intentional crippling just yet. It seems like it’s a legacy of the history of the base M1 / M2 chips. Although if they don’t resolve it in the next couple of generations I’ll agree.

It was this way for Windows for 1.5 decades with Boot Camp. On Intel chips they provided strong support for running Windows natively. In the end it seems like few people used it.

This is a weird take IMO. I use PC and Mac daily (primarily Mac). Windows works fine in my view. There is really nothing that impacts my day to day work other than some great third-party software that is missing on the PC side.

Straight-line performance per watt is not the problem IMO. The problem is something along the lines of sleep/wake states and how MS + Intel can’t seem to get it together to handle the times when the CPU doesn’t need to be working.

I bought 2 real leather belts from a flea market 20 years ago. In that time I’ve had several other leather belts fall apart, with the stitching failing or the material cracking, but these two are perfect. They are just simple leather, one p

They change over time. My absolute favorite fork is from ikea. Our other forks cost 3x as much but I like the ikea one better. Sadly I’ve never been able to find that set there again (bought it 20+ years ago)

Yes, we absolutely have to figure out a way to transition away from it and both here an in other countries around the world. An outright ban probably isn't achievable or effective in the short term. We could tax it to raise the cost (d

You may not need to buy an extreme case IMO. My 5 kids have had mostly free reign on a first-gen retina iPad in a $15 pink fake-leather case, over the course of 7 years. Somehow it still works just fine (I guess we won the battery lottery).

I don't like being tied to one company's peripherals. The best solution I've found to this is to use a keyboard with firmware that instantly switches between bluetooth and wired (I use an M60 python keyboard). That way I can
