Allowing your colleagues to ridicule you doesn’t make you a competent leader.

For an interesting exploration of this, I suggest watching the Black Mirror episode “The Entire History of You” (S1E3).

Never used nix-darwin, but if it’s even a fraction as capable as NixOS, I believe it.

My two favorite hidden gems are Patriot and ZeroZeroZero. They also did Outer Range, A Hero (movie), Red Oaks, Good Omens, and Mozart in the Jungle. The Boys and Invincible are both excellent, but more “mainstream” shows.

It’s quite amazing how much you can do with a working self-hosted setup and a decent amount of storage. The open source community around self-hosted services is stronger than ever. A few of my favorite lesser known self-hosted projects are

4K UHD remuxes are basically straight rips of the source Bluray, hence the high bitrate and file size. There are even hybrid remux releases where multiple sources (e.g., WEB and Bluray) are fused together to get the absolute highest quality

The challenge is twofold on “elite” private trackers: 1. Getting into the tracker requires ratio proof from other reputable trackers. 2. Freeleech becomes less common, which makes maintaining a >1.0 ratio difficult without a seedbox and

Nobody = none of the so-called “unbiased” Western media outlets (more like government mouthpieces at this point).

“Bully logic” is actually a great way to explain why the US is now bombing Yemen.

No, they are - whether we like it or not - a legitimate player in Yemen. The US has interacted with the Houthis before, at the very least via its regional allies.

by Cyph0n 3y ago
Well, assuming that’s true, it’s clearly happening at a different scale here. The global response is proof.

Oh, I have been aware of the Houthis and their agenda since their rise as part of the Yemeni revolution and subsequent civil war. Whether we like it or not, the Houthis are now a major player in Yemen. As for the current situation, my point

I concur with the flagged reply. The Houthis provided a solution on day 1: a ceasefire to end the genocide in Gaza. We will look back on the escalation of the conflict in Yemen as a strategic blunder. The Biden administration is digging its

How about Walmart? At least to me, that seems like the true Amazon competitor in the US. Unrivaled physical footprint, strong logistics, and a growing online presence.

So, from what I understand, arion provides a Nix frontend for Docker Compose. This allows you to write Nix that runs via Docker Compose. It doesn’t solve the migration problem: if you have an existing Docker Compose project, you still need

I recently migrated over to NixOS which treats systemd as the source of truth for everything, including containers. I found this model extremely intuitive, but it was difficult to apply this to Docker Compose without a lot of manual migrati

Damn and I thought it had ended. I think both it and Curb Your Enthusiasm are excellent comedy shows. Have you watched Gomorrah? Top tier Italian crime drama, although it kinda drops off after season 3 from what I recall.

You underestimate how important the Palestinian cause is to the Yemeni people. I’d wager they’d be willing to “pause” the infighting for quite some time. Also, this move is making the Houthis immensely popular: they are winning the PR war i
