Why aren't they downloading the updates while charging? Shouldn't be too much effort to either install WiFi at the superchargers or run data over the charge cabling. Then maybe just update the "local" map data around the

I like the idea and the illustrations are really nice. How is it with replayability? What about the lifetime - will it still be playable in x years (books can last some decades, websites usually don't).

I hope that nobody get's the idea of encrypting the audio data for playback. I still can remember the problems of trying to play movies over HDMI which didn't work because some device didn't support the encrypted channel.

That's actually a good comparison between different mindsets. Even if it reads a bit biased pro-go (or pro-old-time-system-developer) it doesn't tell what's the best way to implement this - and in my opinion it's neither

Your 3rd point is not only valid for air traffic. Some of our subways are fully automated and the driver just opens/closes the doors - and sits in the front for the perception of the passengers that the train is driven.
