This article makes some decent points but it's a shame that it had to be weakly and opprobriously framed as a kind of 'wealth' struggle. As the article itself says, "the tribes have become weaponized", I guess.

To some extent, the line between code in the browser core and code in an add-on coming from Mozilla is arbitrary. However, it's a line that Mozilla themselves have drawn. We've been trained to be vigilant when choosing and install

I'm hoping these developments might eventually clear the way to a somewhat supported Firefox browser core sans UI to embed in our own applications (ala WebKit and Chromium via QtWebEngine), and then I might switch back. I'm tired

The recent movie 'Paterson' is perhaps an interesting illustration of a character who is apparently content in an unskilled job. The title character is a bus driver whose passion is for poetry which he writes during breaks, partly

Loved the show as a teenager in the UK (a repeat; I'm not old enough to have caught the original broadcast). There's a great write up of an Apple II computer game of 1980 that was based on the show here: http://www.filf

I recently saw this entertaining video about Amstrad and Alan Sugar in the 80s and 90s (also by Kim Justice, not the first time he's been linked in this thread), which makes the point that to Sugar's credit, Amstrad was the only U
