The US government is completely MIA on this issue. There’s no reason people need these monster trucks to drive to and from their job every day or to and from the grocery store.

Reading is more interactive than that Schopenhauer quote gives it credit for being. When I’m reading something challenging or interesting, it’s almost like I’m having a conversation with the author.

It's not that the United States doesn't spend enough on the military, it outspends the Chinese government by more than double. What it spends that money on seems to be the problem.

I love my fancy pour overs and specialty coffee espressos, and I still can appreciate a drip coffee made with clean water and fresh beans. I'm not sure why you'd say it's "pre-ruined".

It's entirely Apple's choice to use the M chips in iPads. And if that means they need to compromise on laptop performance or features, they should change course.

I wonder if the eventual plan is to make Windows free for "home" users, and monetize it through ads. In that world, ads in every corner of the OS would be less annoying.
