Here in Australia, the big shopping centres (aka Malls), get their biggest crowds in summer. Xmas helps but also there is often a contiguous 3-7 day stretch of >40C(>104F) maximums with sweltering overnights in the cities. Not everyon

"At some point, I’m going to want to cease to being." TV Show - The Good place. Highly entertaining, lots of ethics material. Ultimately ends up saying the same thing but takes you there so wonderfully that you feel the joy of it

My pet hate: - use the mouse to select precisely the part of the word/URL/string you want for Ctrl-C purposes - it autocorrects your selection to the whole word including a CrLf if it is nearby. Aaargh!

I'm not web IT but games started my IT career, though perhaps differently to how people would expect. Dad got a computer when I was 8. I played games. At uni, while studying other things, I played games and had no money. In those days

I agree with the use of smallish unmanned aerial units. I also agree with using them in significantly large numbers. But I'd like to see combination use. Example:Unmanned plane delivers quadcopters to position and retrieves them later.

And it doesn't mean even that. Many worthwhile people in the world. Not all of them are famous to the people who would love to know them. At least we can both get to know her more starting now.

I would argue that rules should pay attention to "motivation". When you say the politician should "work", I hope you mean "breaking rocks" or "brick laying" rather than continuing as a politician...

The rich already can do a lot without any real consequences. Fines are for poor people. Fines for minor matters should be % based somehow. (I don't know how!) My $150 parking ticket should be their $15,000 parking ticket.

I agree with you and want to expand on:"People don't really understand just how much a billion dollars actually is." Billion and it's larger cousin, Trillion(etc and so forth), really are hard for the human mind to grasp

Well, I don't expect this is a simple perfect system. It isn't new. I just think it might be better than what most places have currently. US business has a history of "stock options" and "yearly bonuses". So th

I like concise prose. It saves time and effort. Similarly, I am frustrated that videos come up as top hits for simple things. While a picture can say a thousand words, the point is communication, not verbosity.

I have previously mentioned that employees should be seen as significant investors in the business and should be treated as such. Apart from "The job" work is not a mental and emotional void. You invest yourself. And it hurts when
