I got the cheaper Dash model with the narrow plastic deck for US $200. If I were going longer distances (more than a mile/1.5km) then one of the more expensive wider-deck models would definitely be worth it.

The Xootr in particular glides really really well. If you're used to the cheapo Razor scooters, it's worlds apart, even from the larger-wheeled Razor A5. The relative speed depends on the terrain. If you're on concrete sidewa

Nuclear isn't flexible capacity; plants are always run at max output. If it is to be phased out the replacement needs to have more long-term output than a battery, unless the renewables become incredibly overprovisioned.

Ortholinear is no stagger in either direction. Column stagger is what you see on the Ergodox or Atreus or Mitosis or Iris or any of the recently vast proliferation of ergo designs.

I once called out blogspam like this before, and was called out in return by the author themself—Petapixel actually pays authors for their content.

Not really. You want to store the negative values from noise to prevent bias when denoising. And even at base ISO, noise is well above the 14-bit LSB quantization level.

Well the pixel density would be usable… if the screen were larger. It is insufficient to display a page of sheet music.

I sought one of these out for the 2017 solar eclipse in North Carolina, but was sorely disappointed when it turned out that while there were no trees, it was covered quite thoroughly in shrubs and you could not see the sky.

The problem isn't scooters. Scooters have just exposed the problem: it's the cars. There's a lot of victim blaming going on: we have giant weapons rolling around in broad daylight and when someone is killed by one we say noth

Permissive licenses give freedom to the developers who use code under that license. The developer is free to restrict the users' freedoms. Copyleft licenses grant freedom to the users of software: a developer cannot restrict a user.

Just as a warning: my wireless Mitosis dropped keystrokes, and I never actually preferred the split, but I liked the layout so much that I eventually made a hand-wired, hard-wired, non-split version. https://i.imgur.com/q4um
