I use a trackball because it takes up less desk space and doesn't need a mouse pad.

The best thing to do with a split spacebar is to put things like shift there so you never have to reach again. That's why a lot of ergonomic designs have thumb clusters to better make use of an underutilized finger.

I switched entirely over to MessagEase a few months ago. Getting deterministic results from typing still feels refreshing, even now. I'll second the recommendation.

Personally I support this. I think Japanese names sound wrong in western name order: most family names have a distinctive sound and construction.

Knotweed is like the hydra of myth. I've been trying to fight it in my landlord's backyard by cutting down every single shoot as soon as they come up. And they keep coming.

It has image stabilization and a less flare-prone design than the Pixel 1's camera which looks directly through the back glass.

The article is also dated from April 1… which makes it a little out of date on top of being suspect in other ways.

My main experience with lard as a younger person is as the white cubes of deliciousness in mortadella, my favorite sandwich meat. I have never seen lard that I know of aside from that.

Paired with, not as a result of. The lower charge speed of 200 vs 250 is likely cell limited compared to the 2170 cells in the 3.

It already has the new motor technology. The S and X used to have induction motors front and back, while they now have a switched reluctance motor in the front.

So they added the Switched Reluctance Motor technology used in the Model 3 for the front motor, improving efficiency.

I carefully avoid getting paid for things I enjoy, in case that takes the fun out of them. Programming open-source software? Strictly for fun. (Programming is not my day job.) Volunteer trail building? For fun. (and for the workout) Photogr

I can type the punctuation on a staggered board without looking... I don't know what's so hard about it. RE: ortholinear In my opinion, there's no reason to do ortholinear instead of column-stagger, which is far more comforta

I read a paper on this—it's convex because any optimal trajectory will have the engines at full throttle whenever they're on, so they just fill up the parameter space, confident that illegal values will never be required.

Google Pixel phones have exactly that: call screening. When you receive a call you can let the phone ask what the call is about and it will locally transcribe what they say back so you can decide whether or not to pick up.

Trim would never be a separate airfoil because that would be horrendous for efficiency. Instead they have an all-moving tailplane. They could have prevented this issue by slightly increasing the tailplane size to restore stability margin, b

Again, that's 10 bit but still low dynamic range. It provides finer gradations to reduce banding, but doesn't change the tone response curve to add more highlight brightness.

10 bits per channel does not necessarily mean you have HDR. In the past, it was used to get finer gradations, which is in fact fairly important if you are working with black and white , to avoid banding. HDR involves mapping the 10 bits ove
