In Windows 11 + WSL2 + Google Drive Sync, you can cd into Google Drive at /mnt/g and use it like a normal directory. I'm not sure when this became the case; it wasn't possible 6 months ago with Windows 10 + WSL2 + Go

I noticed this today for the first time. "meaning of [anything]" becomes "Webster's meaning of [anything]" in Chrome and Edge. In Firefox, "meaning of [anything]" stays as "meaning of [anything]"

I've been signed up to The Sample for a few months now, getting one newsletter a day. Each newsletter includes a link to rate it from 1 star to 5 stars. I consistently rate the newsletters I receive at 1 star! About 5 good newsletters

We use Front – team situation handling a lot of email, well worth it. No doubt a lot of providers have exactly the same features, but unless we'd gain something drastically better from switching it's not worth the hassle. One unde

...and we know what happened to Google Reader. Hopefully having this be a feature on an established product instead of a separate product will ensure it sticks around for longer.

Interesting! Is the below correct? For connecting-words, use a hyphen. For 1 – 5 ranges, use an en dash. For dramatic pauses — use an em dash.

I upvoted solely for the use of an en dash ( – ) in the title, instead of a hyphen ( - ). Probably comes down to personal aesthetics, but I find it looks so much nicer! For users on Windows, I recommend setting up an AutoHotKey script to co

I know about ignition interlock devices – my company provides these – and there is a little more nuance to it than that. Firstly (and depending on jurisdiction), IIDs have to pass fairly rigorous verification in an accredited laboratory bef

We've been using Basecamp for years now, I wouldn't notice if the entire company went on vacation for 6 months. It just works. Hey customers might notice a difference.

This was my reading as well - from the post that DHH shared. What do you do when a (previously-complicit) employee keeps an issue going on and on and on? A little 'hey, get off your high horse, you were involved too' doesn't

> Making a profit requires cash flow management, but managing cash flow does not require making a profit. This article does talk about managing cash flows in a way that involves never making a profit. Isn't the exact opposite true?

You can absolutely pay a company to hold a principle. Consider the number of companies now who are promoting sustainability as a core value, because it gives them an edge up on competition in big government tenders. More common than you
