I'm interested to hear from other people who are bearish on Wordpress' future. Where are you headed? We agree with many of the points the author raised, as well as some additional pain points regarding general maintenance and desi

I concur on 1. I feel like this could be extended to every debug tool I’ve worked with, sadly. It’s hard to beat console.log (and associated methods) in JS or error_log and tail -f in PHP. The debugging tools always seem to add just enough

This tracks because my alma mater built new housing and a new student center over the course of a few years at the cost of roughly $300 million.

Turns out "alum" is the gender neutral term for a graduate, not the school. I should've used "alma mater" here. I've never had a chance to learn latin properly and it shows :)

In the case of my alum, I think I can tell you: they spent it on housing and amenities to attract more students (quantity, not quality). I watched it happen while I attended. A university operates under the same principles as any other busi

The problem with gTLDs is that there is no ceiling on the registration/renewal price for those domains. If a given gTLD takes off because, for example, someone writes a blog post about how great it is to just use it for your family
