It's a shame that people get taught the opposite of that approach. Typical academic OO ends up completely obscurring the data you have and how you transform it in to what you want. Many times when you ask a student to think in those t

Basically yes. Other sugars don't have nearly the same effect. It might be a blend of pragmatic reasons in combination with biology (not as sweet, more filling, etc) but the result is still that the focus is fructose.

This doesn't say what minio actually is. It also says the benchmark cost $1000 to run. Also since this is terabits it is about 120 gigabytes per second using 256 drives.

I have to clarify here a little bit and say that it is faster on one core. If you have multiple cores, having your translation unit count in the same order of magnitude as your core count will be faster. There is a lot more redundant work

When people talk about sugar being harmful, they mean fructose. Sugar is used as a shortcut, but then some people mix it up or play semantic games by talking about other sugars.

No one assumed that here, the parent said HBO would go after torrenters in the future and they have been for a long time already.

I'm not sure what you are saying, no one implied everyone was in the reach of HBO. The parent was saying HBO was going to go after torrenters in the future, but they have been doing it for years.

HBO has been monitoring torrents for a long time and sending letters to ISPs. VPNs and seed boxes get around this.

No, it does not. 5000 polygons condensed into a fraction of a pixels becomes a matter of statistical distributions. Effects like displacement and bump mapping have different looks if you filter them to get one value per pixel. The illumi

I think a lot of developers don't realize that features and functionality are only a part of a program. Many times what a program like that accomplishes is somewhat trivial and the interface is the whole point. Redesigning an interfac

It seems like everything you are saying boils down to moving being some sort of terrible atrocity and that people with millions of dollars in equity in their house are so poor they have to be protected.

No one has to sell, everyone has to pay property taxes. Why do you keep saying they are 'forced to sell' and that they shouldn't pay the same property taxes as others?

Pricing property taxes to be consistent with the value of a home is not 'making someone leave'. In this case 'so someone else can buy their home' is actually 'they can decide to sell their house for an enormous pro

It's not like these things happened over night. If someone bought a house for 100k and it is now worth two million, I'm not sure they can claim they are being gouged on a 2000% increase of equity. Buying land still doesn't e

Most municipalities can do that, so the problem is likely more with your municipality than the concept in general. Also why would municipal broadband be a monopoly? There are lots of municipal broadband projects that are one of many ISPs.
