Important updates: a) This does not apply to US citizens or their family members[1]. b) This does not apply to cargo[2]. It appears that the President misspoke regarding point 2. [1] https://www.dhs.gov/news/2020/0

I was wondering if it was an SRE when the original story came out. I'd be interested in seeing perspectives on how you avoid this scenario. While you could isolate data access by team in many models, you're still going to have eng

Thanks -- this prompted me to actually read Citizens United, that's a really good call out. Here's another one for you: Bloomberg is hiring campaign workers at a reported $6K a month with three catered meals a day. As a result, ot

FWIW, I've built systems using Google Forms and Sheets to organize groups of 500-1000 people. Particularly if you're propagating data across multiple sheets, you start to see errors at that point. A refresh usually clears them, bu

The DNC isn't in this picture. The Iowa Democratic Party (and the Nevada Democratic Party) commissioned the app. I don't think the problem is ideology here, I think it's "consulting firm."

A few vendors sell a pencil-sized sleeve attached to an elastic strap that goes around the Apple case; I have one of those and it also works very well. Agree that it's an odd omission.

Yeah, it's normal. A personal accountant can and often will handle a lot of bookkeeper duties on top of the accounting work. See https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/04011... for more.

No, they're (mostly) user-submitted and user-approved. In theory new locations on military bases aren't allowed as of a couple of years ago, but a few slip through the process. And, inconsistently, old ones aren't removed.

I don't think this is an insane question. My take: #1 -- gated communities are way bigger than a bungalow court and are much easier to isolate from the community around them. I think this correlation is a misapprehension. Here's a
