Seems Siri is much better than Alexa as well - I often hear my roommate struggling with getting Alexa to do what she wants, and various other friends struggling with Alexa as well, usually because of accents. Smart assistants in general hav

Out of curiosity, what do you consider innovation in software? There's numerous quotes out there across the spectrum about how what Apple is currently doing in software and hardware is unprecedented, even from Microsoft execs. I suspec

I'd argue that someone with CS fundamentals doesn't necessarily tell me how adaptable someone is. Many times, the depth isn't there to strongly indicate one way or another. Adaptability is a difficult thing to try to assess.

On the flip side, this has a cost of creating siloing/low bus factor, so if you were to ever get in an accident that took you out, or you left the company, the company would be potentially completely screwed.

What would you define as a "real relationship"? Is texting someone once a month any different than commenting on things going on in their lives, or messaging them on [insert platform]? My view is no - a relationship, whether by so

For all numbers excepting initial load, everything I've seen shows Angular is significantly faster than the rest - the difference is more pronounced with more DOM nodes. Angular also has the advantage of incremental update, although Re

One thing it should be noted with Angular is that there is currently work on a new renderer that should allow framework bundle size to be optimized with the whole framework being tree-shakeable. I wonder how Angular would compare once that

I sort of discovered this myself when looking for flight prices about 4 months back around this week (flying from the US). I happen to have the whole week of Thanksgiving off from work due to it shutting down that week every year (supposedl

I know Apple has some engineers that work in other offices - there’s a good component in Cork (Ireland) in Software Engineering, and other offices where engineers work out of. Similarly, I know of a fair number of engineers at Facebook work

FWIW, I don’t think FAANG necessarily care about what degree you have vs. what can you do. Mine certainly doesn’t, and I know a number of people at these companies who are college dropouts.

Google offers are some of the best for putting pressure on other companies. I am currently at another FAANG though, and may not leave my company ever, even if it would likely up my compensation.
