Be very careful of using baby wipes on sensitive stuff. A lot of them can remove varnish from nails. I was very surprised when I saw this taking in account the intended usage of the wipes.

Yes! If you hang around HN or the trendy hipster blogosphere, then no. Seems those developers are the scum of the earth and shouldn't be allowed near a computer, but in the real world, those are the ones doing important development in

I don't know much about Manning, but from the article, first, he seems to have some kind of 'photographic memory' for gameplays. Not something you practise to be honest. But even if he watches 4 hours per day, if you add it t

Except most pro athletes train 3-4 hours a day, not 16. If I'm not mistaken (been a while since I read the book), Michael admitted he would get up early to practise, but before school, not before normal practise. When he turned pro, he

Can it be he just doesn't care about the work assigned to him so he just half-asses it? Not saying it is a good excuse, but I have seen good developers that are indeed good, when moved to projects they have no interest at all, become l

Not the answer you are looking for, but get on KGS even if you are a novice. There are many folks starting out as well, and you can always play more advanced players there and ask for teaching games. I don't have much time now to play,

You see this a lot in these kinds of discussions, but I can guarantee you will overlook a lot (most?) of excellent developers as many can't open source code (due to employment contract) or just don't really want to be coding 24&#x

I agree. I once was offered a job for director of engineering of a big financial firm in the UK based on a couple chats over the phone with the CEO and some tech guy (don't remember the title). With the CEO, I just chatted a bit in gen

There is also someone either at YC or some other accelerator/vc that recently wrote in their blog that as soon as you go to an interview with a suit he will automatically pass as he doesn't believe you can be a techie. Having a ha

As others said, see a doctor, exercise, diet, etc. But what made my eyes pop was the amount of caffeine. 600-900mg is way too much and pretty sure it is affecting your sleep. First result from google [1] gives an upper limit of 400mg per da
