- TuringTest 12y agoI thought so :-) But young people could see your post and take it at face value, thinking that such harassment is justified.
- Tomte 12y agoI wish we could all just leave off those "of course, I'm not condoning the threats" statements and also the "you didn't include such a statement, would you like to add it?". Not so much because it adds unnecessary words and gets tedious after reading slight variations of it for the umpteenth time. But because we as a community, no matter how much we quarrel and bicker about everything, wouldn't ever endorse such harassment. Not a single one of us. And no reader, inside or outside the community, could ever be mistaken and think a single HN commenter would. But maybe you all are right, and it is needed. I'd just like to think it isn't.

And while it would be nice to think that none of her harassers are active on HN, I really don't believe that's the case.
