This is how I feel about a lot of books, such as The Lean Startup. Technically, there's a new topic with every chapter, but after the first 100 pages or so I feel like I get the gist, and I'm not really learning much new.

I have no recent experience with Java, but in C# it is literally a few seconds. Can't imagine Java taking much longer unless you either have a gigantic codebase, or a very slow laptop.

Nah, I'm good. I have been much more productive at home than I've ever been in the office. Happier too; I'm saving 2 hours of travel time per day, that I now get to spend on my hobbies. Not going back.
