Worry not. As long as our stakeholders are not able to formulate unambiguous, complete and correct specifications, we will always have a job.

Imho that is absolutely not doing the role justice. For some people that may hold true, but I would expect a data engineer to know everything about distributed systems, database indexes, how different databases work and why you pick them, p

So it doesn't detect poachers, it detects humans. And it requires drones flying non-stop over gigantic masses of land. Edit: having dabbled in this field myself during my studies, I know from research that one of the biggest problems i

If you have a beefy PC for working at home and a thin and light laptop for working from the office, you can leave your whole dev environment on your PC and then access it on the laptop when you work from the office. You can do this over RDP

Yes, selling at the bottom. Great plan. And then FOMO buy in again at the next peak. Not saying I believe in cryptocurrencies, at all, but I've been active in the space for 9 years now and after every bubble it was the same again: it j

Do you use ACI at that scale? It's interesting how Microsoft also promotes AKS rather than ACI. For Azure ML they even explicitly state that ACI should not be used for production purposes, which I find quite curious.

Where does this data come from? It doesn't look like people took these videos on purpose just for this site, as they show off kind of random (sometimes weird) things.

Im in the same boat. Started with bitcoin in 2013, bought ethereum in the presale, did freelance app development for all sorts of crypto startups (including coinbase). Was a true believer in the technique. But over the years it became clear

Just because you can, doesn't mean that you should. For some things it's just better to use a rules-based engine that is always correct, rather than a heuristics based algorithm that gives answers that are merely close.
