For what it’s worth, it turns out a most of our humidity is from corn fields, not our lakes. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2016/07/22/feeling-sweaty-minn... It’d be nice if they could genetically modify

Isn’t the real problem on that from that no company will put up funds to do the trials since they aren’t patentable at this point? That said, I feel like there should absolutely be an almost automatic approval for stuff sold in multiple oth

They didn't 'rob them of their land.' The word "Palestinian" used to refer to jews. Obviously it's all a bit complicated but a lot of people seem to have the idea that Israel was created out of whole cloth. T

I mean, a Godox V1 is $200. The Profoto A1 is $1,100. They're very comparable apart from price. I have 6 Godox speedlights of different tiers and only one broke, apart from some screws that just needed to have some Loctite put on th

So basically let them attack Israel as much as they want, and Israel is only allowed to defend? That's like having a sibling that's allowed to punch, prod, and poke you as much as they want. If you don't hit back your life w

I’m guessing it was just the author, but as someone who has done portraits in a food production facility…it’s not easy. I was using off camera lights but finding a backdrop that isn’t insanely busy, balancing that with the terrible overhead

This comment is really odd to see on HN. It’s like if a group of computer enthusiasts (in person) had a guy saying “I don’t understand what the big deal is with this so-called internet.”

There are two possibilities- one is what the PC largely did. Nobody really lost their jobs even though one accountant can do the work of 40 that just had calculators. We can just do “more” now. On the other hand there’s what the washing mac

Luke’s entire characterization in the original movies was that he’d do anything for her friends and that he believed in his father. In the sequels he plans on doing nothing for anyone (especially his friends) and doesn’t believe in his neph

I had a toy poodle growing up that would often know what I was going to do before I did. He also growled at my girlfriend for the only time around when she started cheating on me. Maybe coincidental, but it was the only time I ever recall h
