Same. My work phone allows a very, very narrow set of applications to be installed from a pre-approved list. Social media is absolutely not on there.

This is something I would be very interested in reading in more detail, with examples from multiple specs pointing out pitfalls or successes. Dammit I'm supposed to be working not diving down a rabbit hole.

Sure, I could have been clearer but in my example "you" meant the entity acquiring ownership of the business. Not the reader or a specific person.

You want to buy Bob's Delicatessen, a business which makes a tidy profit with their storefront schlepping sandwiches to the local cube farm dwellers. Bob's Deli has a number of on-going costs, like the lease for their storefront,

That's a pretty easy 80/20 style solution, sure. That 20% there is the little fact that all the fences and signs in the world don't keep a certain subset of headstrong people from e.g. leaving the path and falling into geyser

As rascul said there are environmental concerns. There can also be access/ADA issues, like path width or slope/rise:run. Or it may simply be budgetary.

I used to make a bunch of PB&Js on Sunday, and take 2-3 with me for lunch every day. Later in the week they'd achieve this perfect ratio of jelly having soaked into the (toasted) bread. It was great. Yes, working long hours in cons

I call these "car cheat codes". Even modern vehicles often have some of these, hiding options (like turning off the "BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELT!!!" alarm) that the manufacturer may not want readily available. They can be kind

I've long been bugged by the lazy approach to plurals/multiples in e.g. game tooltips. "You loot 861 gold(s)" I wonder if we'll ever see improvements on either front.

Netflix's problem is more that the intriguing series never get a chance to go on too long and get axed after one or two seasons. Longer running shows, like Stranger Things, are the outlier.
