Uber had only 25B invested in them before their IPO. OpenAI has 120B invested in them currently which excludes these kinds of deals (as far as I’m aware)!

Does anyone feel that the jig is almost up? Surely the returns aren’t anywhere close to what investors expect with the sheer amount of cash at this point in time. Are Anthropic and OpenAI rushing to IPO for immediate cash so they can delay

You are making an argument from authority too though. Even ignoring my point, these people have more insight than anyone into their own products and their harmful/beneficial nature.

Do they need to be? If I was a billionaire surrounded by the most educated and competent people in the world I wouldn't even spare a thought for the "Whole words are better than phonics" crowd.

I don't know what steps they can take. I suppose the best course of action is to deactivate the account if the LLM deems the user mentally unwell. Although that is just additional guardrails that could hurt the quality of the LLM.

“Is illegal” Well yes, that’s my point. :) 2. Is a woman being arrested and charged with causing “anxiety” for a series of tweets. 3. Is the same; wrongthink guised as “threats” etc If you just want to defend the censorship as is your right

Nope. People are certainly being arrested for speech (e.g. opinions) that would be protected by the first amendment in the US. Guising it under a scary sounding law doesn’t change the nature of it.

Fair enough, I'm not a Java developer actually, but I know all the guys in work use it over everything else. I've tried VSCode for Java development a few years ago and it wasn't suitable as an IDE, just as a file editor.
