Well, there could also be the effect that the Aus government sees this happening and thinks “ay this seems to work”. We know these governments can barely operate a calculator so they’re probably not over here on HN reading about how bad the

Fair enough I guess but you might want to put an ampersand between those words, I know I certainly would.

By these clowns you surely mean both the Tories and Labour then! They’re all pretty into this (from what I’ve heard though I hope I’m wrong!)

Is your username meant to sound extremely racist?

It is quite scary being a software engineer and living in the UK right now. This is going to really damage the (already bad) job market.

How absolutely horrifying. Is this the future we can expect from climate change? Murdering the people who try to escape the suffering we have inflicted upon them?

No I think you’re right.

In that case, what a sad, pathetic weak-minded little man he is. A good reminder why I shouldn’t come to hacker news anymore.

Also I don't want to have the Devs in my team have to use containers where had no need for them before. It's not a nice cross platform experience. Sorry if I'm sounding defensive here, but I'm really not into having a wo

Sorry but I don't want to install Microsoft's text editor to deploy an app. It's a basic next.js app, nothing special. I tried the app service config on GitHub actions and it was ridiculous to say the least. 15 minutes to cop

I would love to get this done quick. Do you have a link to something usable?

I'm always amazed to find techie people that don't use something at least as good as https://dnsimple.com/ . I've been using them since 2011 and have not had a single issue. In fact, they have just kept on pro

I love my cast iron pan, but I also love having some carbon steel pans around. DeBuyer carbon steel pans are the same price as Lodge cast iron and are much lighter and better for certain tasks. The handle is a lot longer too, which makes it
