No, there is nothing in any law that mandates that. It's there for artificial churn reduction. The irony, is that if you register through a platform that takes a big share (they get less money) like the App Store or Google Play, it

Bought it at launch, and finished the main part, as well as small challenges (enough to get a platinum on playstation), but not 100%. I'm currently waiting for a few years to pass so that I can start anew, because the witness is this t

Heard about Warp from Twitter and the rustacean station podcast. I don't think I'm the target audience (uses Linux and wouldn't use a proprietary terminal), but it's nice to see you try to improve such a fundamental and

The kernel code shouldn't do any session management. It just takes over once the handshake is done; the rest happens in userspace. Also, you're thinking of CPU-accelerated crypto, but you're missing two other use cases: here,

Just a note to anyone wanting to use kTLS: make sure to benchmark it first, like in the article. Depending on the CPU architecture, it might even be slower than plain userspace TLS. Also, while the tx side has seen lots of investment (from

If one's ready to take a two weeks sabbatical, hiding tweets with common words for 7/30 days is probably an acceptable compromise anyway.

Before they were bought-out, Psyonix (Rocket League Studio) was a real independent, self-publishing studio. They created something unique that still has no equivalent.

Agreed, I was talking about Vanced, my comment wasn't clear. Revanced is a bit more gray, but still very dark.

To make it clear, personal opinion: this is piracy. Use yt-dlp, NewPipe, SmartTubeNext, invidious, VLC, whatever. Or pay for Premium. But re-using a proprietary app and patching it is IMHO crossing the line.

Apparently Vanced was a patched YouTube app for Android, removing ads, adding a dark theme and YouTube Premium features (probably more ?). It was discontinued two weeks ago: https://www.theverge.com/2022/3/13/

It's unclear whether they use hardware blocks or just patent licenses. IMHO a texture format support is not a big enough signal.

Plausible seems interesting, except this weirdness: "Made and hosted in the EU" (incorporated in Estonia), but pricing is in GBP. Immediately sets off an alarm IMHO.
