> Plus, the ops side has a lot of challenges that can really be a different beast compared to the application side. That’s why we aim to call it DevOps, so that you can take all that into account from the start of the project?

Hah, this is great to read even now. It’s nice that these little bits of the internet are still up 11 years later for me to enjoy.

I think the problem is that the multi-az redundancy in AWS setups has saved me exactly zero times. The problem is nearly always some application issue.

I like devops. It means you get to get ahead of all the issues that you could potentially find in cybersecurity. Sure it's complicated, but at least you'll never be bored. I think the hardest part is that you always feel like you

Huh? That doesn’t track with my experience. I spent a long time trying to find out how to enable line wrap, and Zed’s settings are more extensive than most editors.

Bwuh, I thought they had a new name for a smaller iPhone, but it’s just a bag.

Maybe, but I’m not perfect either. The scale is just different. It’s clear that the standard for rich people isn’t all that high, so in the company of the remaining 1B+ crowd he looks pretty decent.

Something like bottom line up front would work for resumes as well.

Oh man, that’s hilarious. I dunno what qwen is doing most of the time. Gemini seems to be either a perfect win or complete nonsense. Claude seems to lean towards “good enough”.

I tried to make the claude code cli interface with the codex/chatgpt endpoints directly, and found that that’s really hard, because those ChatGPT endpoint accept only one system prompt, and one system prompt only, the one that is baked

It’s not their job, but if it needs to be done anyway I don’t mind them doing it for me. And smoking weed is a hell of a lot healthier than social media.

You need to calm down. That’s a hell of a lot of personal attacks following a comment made in good faith.

It’s just easier to do some things if they’re prohibited by law. If you don’t want children to smoke, not selling them ciggarettes is a great first step.

You can just not store the TOTP tokens in Bitwarden? I don’t see how this is an argument against.
565.
by Aeolun 1y ago
I think it’s mostly nice for places that require TOTP but don’t actually rate carrying around/plugging in a yubikey for.

Which device can you not use bitwarden on?

It baffles me how many techies are here saying we should respect our corporate overlords. Something certainly was lost in this scene in the past 20 years. Hackernews? More like Peonnews.

And then the IA becomes the same thing it’s fighting against. The people in the wrong here are these massive corporations fighting over scraps, not the IA.
