I muted USA Today in Apple News recently because their filtering was below the bar (click bait headlines, low quality writing). I don't know who the editors are that are making their decisions but I no longer trust that outlet anymore

Land Cruiser/Prado is the car to have! I used to live in Kenya and that was the dream car (had a Rav4 which did the job but was no Prado). I do still have fond memories of my little manual Mitsubishi Pajero Mini: https://e

There's nothing wrong with a sub banning/censoring people. That's a critical part of having a trust value within a social network and if moderators of a popular sub don't think a poster is meeting the bar to post it is

Another option is a trust network. We already have that within the social networks but not across them. I also don't mind trusting a bot that has a cohesive brand across the networks - there's no need for it to be human as long

Yeah I hate turbo lag (it was awful on my old Tiguan). Start/Stop worked fine though - not once did I feel like the engine wasn't ready to go after letting go of the brake. I drive super safe these days though so it's not l

Turbo lag isn't increased by start/stop. Start/stop may delay the initial acceleration but from then on, any turbo lag would be the same regardless of the state of the engine before initial acceleration.

You'd have to exclude everybody under 7 or so, everybody who is illiterate (in this very expansive sense), and those that are Muslim but do not read Arabic and do everything in translation. That might be a small group though and probab

2B still seems like a stretch. Can 2B people read (even with low comprehension) a basic paragraph in Arabic? My SWAG would be 1B people.

All of it. If somebody does something that is judged bad, the circumstances of doing the bad thing is a relevant factor in the justification (which is not binary). So if I tip 10% and somebody judges me and says "that's bad"

Seattle could afford that easy cheesy. Really this is down to the lack of a strong CEO (probably because of the way this was incubated inside of Vulcan). A strong CEO could probably throw enough benefits and special events to run a 2-3MM

"Cleaning Up" when compared to spilled milk like the OP says implies that it will be the way it was before. The term is more positive than the reality so I would personally call it a euphemism.

Biden was backed into that corner - it's not like he is anti-union but of course having the economy tank from a union strike would have been catastrophic for his agenda and the economy (and Democrats staying in power).

OP is agreeing with you. "Cleaning up" is a euphemism we should move beyond. At best, they are "mitigating" the spill and that's probably the word the media should use.

Even if what you say is true, wouldn't that still be an ok outcome? We're in a climate crisis and need to starkly reduce the number of carbon sources on the planet so if EV cars didn't get broad adoption and used petrol cars
