Ridicule me all you guys want but I still write using just html/css/js and sublime text (no jquery either). And I have written a 30k line project using just that and php. Being a filthy casual has it's upsides. I can do whate

I still feel that the api is a lot more complicated than it has any right to be. WebSQL for example was nifty little thing that worked just fine as far as me as a dev is concerned. I realize there must have been considerable issues with it

You can put "squaring" in quotations and then google will search exactly for "squaring".

Never used atom, I use sublime. Also can't find any extension named sshfs. I don't want to install another FTP program and then open it up every time I want to make a change.

What I find to be hilariously missing is drag & drop for the selected text. I tried switching to VS code a couple of days ago and realized I couldn't do such a basic thing. That and a decent FTP extension. No one wants to sync thei

If you can only live with evergreen browsers, you don't even need jquery. Plain ol' JS will be just fine. No extra bullshit.

Noob question here, why move just one step ahead. Why not 8192 or hell 16,384? I can see it can lead to higher CPU consumption on often used keys but for keys that are not accessed more than a couple of times a day, why is it such a bad ide

You'd have to recalculate hashes for every user?

Did you guys look into VS Code as an option for possible in-browser editors?

But those aren't local names, the defaults are 'item1', 'item2', etc. They only get that name if you explicitly declare it in the function declaration.

Well there's also the fact that 100% of those 3% are definitely online loading website while the same can't be said for the 4% legally blind.

I don't know, a service like ZeroSSL (email/domains, submit, upload verification, submit, that's all) very much simpler than any command line utility, especially for simple tasks, to be done my newbies.

I was on that very page a few weeks ago. I used ZeroSSL to generate my last cert. It works great! And I understand your strategy, providing an API and letting the community work over is the absolute best you can do with the resources you ha

Yeah I have FTP. But can I install certs via ftp? I mean yeah sure I guess since they are just files but won't that be like too much work? Knowing what to put where and how. cPanel is a lot simpler. Paste cert and private key, press su

I am a tiny single person company, VPS require a ton of setup and maintenance (for me, a noob). Believe me, I tried. I bought a vps with the intention to move over, but it was too much. I am not a unix user, I can manage xampp, but installi

Those aren't really an option for me, I use shared hosting without command line access. I realize this is an issue specific to my case but I know many other people that have their own small sites running on similar hosting as mine.

In fact isn't shared hosting the most common type of hosting? Any larger sites can afford paid certs anyways so letsencrypt is especially suited for smaller sites like mine, that can't afford the cert but also don't have the

I can't run those scripts. My site runs on shared hosting, I don't have command line access. All I have is a file manager for my 'htdocs' and standard cpanel stuff.

What I personally find more inconvenient than any of those limits (as a non-power user) is the 3 month lifetime of certs. I am a windows user. Running a VM once a month just to renew my 3 certs is a huge headache. Will it really be that muc

Just to be clear (in Delhi), there are two different registrations. One for office hours and other for the general conference and fireside chat. I registered for office hours but conference is a waiting list.

I think using Tor as it is intended to be used requires some change in user's browsing habits as well. So pulling in all the Tor specific settings into firefox won't be much help if the user then goes and signs into facebook and g

I already have such a repo. But I would reckon the repo needs to be open source right? What if I would like to host all my open source repos on that subdomain? Oh ok, it needs to be the entire url 'user.bitbucket.org'.

Offtopic: How do I get that github.io type hosting for my own bitbucket account? I didn't know it was possible. Edit: It's as mixmastamyk says. I created a repo called 'achshar.bitbucket.org' and it works.

None of those are "pwned" if you know what you're doing. Idiot proofing is a real feature I grant you but it's not something you can blame the native DOM APIs for.
