What exactly is the boundary between commercial and non-commercial use? E.g. say you make an educational video that contains a portion of using Mathematica on RPI, and you could get ads income, is that indirect or direct commercial use? Wha

The LotR movies are now over 20 years old. When I watched LotR, I was around 20 myself, and a then 20 year old movie (which would be an early 80s movie) would seem like a movie from a completely different era to me. Today, LotR still seems

Thanks for the link! I'm watching it now, but am wondering why there is always some rhythmic ticking sound in the background? A bit like a clock but not really.

Are you using a recent version of F-Droid fennec (which may be fenix instead), and if so does this one support arbitrary plugins? Did F-droid manage to modify it for that?

Is there a version of Fennec with up to date HTML rendering engine? Where to get it? AFAIK fennec is the code name for mobile firefox when mozilla had the very good android app that supported extensions, about:config and sane tab/bookm

Performance at the cost of stutter. So not really performance... When did compiling of shaders become a thing? Nvidia GeForce had shaders in the year 2001 but I don't remember ever seeing this then. The first time I saw compiling of sh

But why do they change this per driver update? That sounds horrible to do! CPU's are not changing their instructions based on driver updates either. IMHO, time for CPU's to offer thousands-of-floats-wide SIMD instruction sets inst

Steam is always compiling shaders before starting a game. What is this needed for actually, can't these come precompiled with the game, just like the game's executable? There are 3 brands of GPU so max 3 precompiled versions neede

There are hardly any slots on motherboards too now these days. One network card may fit next to the GPU. All kinds of limitations to nvme SSD speeds and GPU bus width may start applying just for doing that.
