I wish there were a way to self-host without my emails constantly getting stuck in other people's spam folders. And it made me really paranoid about email, too -- like I'd send emails, and I'd never know if the other end r

If they said that their dream is to solve physics, I'd say "that's cool and I can't wait to see how it turns out." LLMs have gotten so good at mathematics, and are so adroit at analyzing vast quantities of data, th

You can give custom instructions to a model like K3 when you host it locally. Besides, if the government of France is working out a deal to host a model like K3 as a sort of "Government Service AI," they'd surely need to pay,

This is actually crazy, because biochemistry is where LLMs are weakest. It's one of science's most fuzzy and unpredictable domains, in general, and a lot of published works which an LLM might take at face value might be unreplica

Grok is there, just a little bit too small to label. Dark brown on the chart. 4.6 is a good model, by the way. Legitimately frontier-level and a good communicator.

This is a remarkably magnanimous and even-tempered post. Most authors (e.g. Charlie Stross) really hate AI, feel personally affronted by it, and lose their cool when they talk about it. I agree with Howey's sentiments. AI-written boo

Yeah, that's nice and all, but people suffering from tinnitus will tend to get downright angry when you tell them: "Just change your attitude to it." There's nobody with tinnitus who hasn't heard it 100x already.
