I used the free trial in LA for a while. I placed quite a few orders in the two months that I used it, but ultimately decided to cancel it before I had to pay the additional $220. The selection was somewhat mediocre compared to what you wou

I assume you're being sarcastic when you write legendary, right? Peanuts, Pogo, Calvin and Hobbes, Krazy Kat, Little Nemo... those are legendary comic strips. Penny Arcade is a comic strip focused on a narrow subculture (man children)

The shutter speed dial really looks like Ive's work to me. Although it's hard to say. This Leica bears absolutely no resemblance to Newson's Pentax K-01, but perhaps that's just because the K-01 was a camera that was act

This looks absolutely fantastic, but it's a bit of a shame that they will only be distributing them with the 300 beta kits. It would be nice if they could get more of them out into the wild so people can actually hold one and see how i

It's unfortunate that you didn't just use the title of this article for the title of your post. The article's actual title is "what's wrong with the modern world." It's somewhat ironic that the change in t

In what way are Musk's criticisms of the CA HSR plan FUD? Frankly, the HSR plan is a dud, and his criticisms are largely, if not entirely, valid. The cost is astronomically high, as a result of that the ticket costs will be greater tha

I second the Quicksilver recommendation. When you combine Quicksilver triggers (keyboard shortcut available regardless of what application you're in) with applescript, and fabric it's very powerful. I have a trigger that that res

I didn't know the PS3 did complete emulation of the PS2 at all. The earlier PS3s that supported backwards compatibility actually contained the PS2 hardware (the first gen had both the cpu and gpu, and the second gen PS3 had the GPU and

It's not just the annoyance of having to manually perform the update, it's that your device/network takes a performance hit when it happens. As for my use of the phrase "doesn't care," that was poorly chosen. B

The iOS development cycle works the way it does to protect Apple's customers. The people that pay for your application deserve and demand a certain level of quality. They also shouldn't be constantly bothered with updating your ha

I have an HHK Pro 2. The Topre keys are great, but they are considerably different than the Cherry MX keys that most mechanical keyboards use (and they're more expensive). The layout is absolutely fantastic. It led me to remap the cont

I understand how the RED owners have a vested interest in promoting the system. They benefit professionally from the regard that others have for the cameras. e.g. they can rent out their cameras, command a higher rate as an operator or DP i

A lot of short node.js code snippets you run into on the web use anonymous callbacks, and I agree, that gets ugly very quickly, but if you bind callbacks to methods on prototypes the code remains pretty readable.
