It's 14km (8.8mi) from your pinpoint to the Arkansas, from there it's about as straight of a shot toward the gulf of mexico as you can get (via the Mississippi).

No chance the metals would become "too cheap to meter". I'd bet on the opposite in fact: step 1) acquire the stockpile of metals step 2) set prices just low enough you drive all current mines/producers out of business s

Magnesium parts are already in widespread use. The covers you see on the sides of motorcycle engines/transmissions are often magnesium. In solid form the risk is mitigated because there isn't enough surface area for the reaction

Those pumps are awful. If you get an air bubble in the line or need a small amount you risk messing up the ratio and having a poorly cured batch. Plus the hardeners react with the air so if its been sitting a little while the first part o

Aluminum has low thermal mass but high heat conductivity. So the heat transfer to the pizza would be fast, which is good, but there wouldn't be a lot of it unless you had a really thick chunk of aluminum.

I've been averaging about $19 per 4tb SAS drive on ebay (refurbs), though sata tends to cost a little more being the more common format. I've had great luck with surplus HGST drives, they tend to be more reliable than Seagate.
