That was my estimate just judging by the trees and slope from the beach, at least 30 or 40 feet. Seems pretty low risk to me.

Use your imagination, what happens if DJI decides to add a little logic test to their firmware: 1) drone is flying in Ukraine? 2) motor amperage is higher than normal (probably carrying a grenade)? If 1 and 2, return to takeoff point an

Isn't the concern with DJI mostly the software (artificial flight limitations, phone-home ability, ability for China to lock you out on a whim). I'm not concerned that the motors and carbon tubes on my drones are made in China, I&

Most people serious about drones aren't using 2.4ghz. I mostly use 433mhz control freq and 1.2ghz video if I'm going more than a few miles out.

Building a drone is incredibly easy these days, there's so much reference information out there now and pretty much all the pieces just plug together. There's tons of great open source flight controller software out there - ardupi

What most people should be using at home is a "knock down" or "open frame" rack. The posts can be separated from the top and bottom for transport. I use a couple of these in my basement, fairly sturdy and I can move th

“What is not known is whether Gutenberg knew about the Korean printing or not. And if we could shed light on that question, that would be earth shattering,” Earth shattering seems like a stretch, but I admire their enthusiasm.

I'd also wager that most classic cars you see around these days have been repainted. When the cost to repaint is roughly the same why not go for an interesting color over gray or white?

"Fusible link wire" exists - it is sometimes used in automative wiring harnesses (mostly older vehicles I think).

Literally every one of their vehicles is a knapsack problem and a traveling salesman problem needing to be solved every day. I'm sure they go through plenty of compute power.

to be fair I can't google for shit anymore either. Try to find an actual review or more information about an item and the first 90 results are SEO spam and places selling said item.

Interesting, acrylic applied in multiple layers. I can see how this would be superior to glass from a manufacturing standpoint (easy to cast and layer), but my experience with acrylics is they scratch and aren't very durable. Perhaps

Now I'm curious what is better than glass? Aside from weight, it seems like an almost ideal material.

I always wanted to create a social app for shoes and call it Sole Mate. Put in your specs and rank your own shoes and then find other people who have a similar fit to you and see what they liked.

That some really odd pricing, there's no investment out there where you could purchase for x, let it sit for 16 months, and then sell for 2x. You'd think the manufacturers or some other entity would just be buying all the 24month
