A single gesture from one side of the screen, in the style of the Windows 8 charms? A set of buttons (side-by-side, floating, switch foreground/background floating etc). Or put it on the dock. One gesture to learn - show the dock, mult

I hate the touchbar MBP I have for work. The touchbar turns off when you don't use the keyboard, so if you are thinking whilst staring at some debugged code and want to step into/continue the code, where have the function keys gon

My wife has to leave the room when I am working because she can't stand the noise on this 2017 MBP. 2012 MBP is no problem to her.

Catalina on test USB disk for me has been terrible; same hardware with internal disk running High Sierra = no problems. Very bad OS release in my opinion, and poorly handled transition (eg. secret partitions, unwritable root partitions, sec

I have been extremely disappointed with Catalina. I am keeping my work MacBook on Mojave as long as I can. My home MacBook is still on High Sierra I think, because I risk having non-functioning external audio hardware (mic preamps) if I upg

I literally have no idea how any newbie will know how to use the iPad via the array of gestures to show the dock, go home, switch apps, move an app over another, move them side-by-side, know that you can use mutliple fingers on the keyboard

How do you know how you got to that point in the code without a debugger? What's the call stack like? How could you debug a call in a DLL that is being loaded by your program if you do not use a debugger? It might be alright for tiny p

True to some extent but education is good and knowing the language you are using can only be a good thing. The same could be said of English. Would you switch to another language because someone uses a word you have never used before?

This is true for all languages and projects you inherit though. Eg I am trying to use Magento in PHP land and it is truly grotesque.

In what way is C++ "deeply" broken? I seem to be using it daily with no problem, as does the rest of the world. I manage to use applications and operating systems where vast portions of it are written in C++ without problems - wha
