Has anyone tried putting a generic coupon code on the checkout form, right next to the input box? Or even pre-filling the input box with the generic code? Seems like that way, everyone can feel good, and some can feel even better. p.s. Oh w

The timing on this is amusing: Jeff Bezos buys a newspaper for $250,000. Sergey Brin buys a burger for €250,000. Each smart in its own way.

I'm really looking forward to the overhaul on the road map that moves more things off the main UI thread. I keep switching from Chrome to Firefox for reasons of principle ... and keep switching back to Chrome for reasons of performance

This is a great list. Re rounding out skill set, sometimes it's possible for a solo founder to make a couple key early hires. That lets you shorten this list. Some items still apply, but many don't. Granted those folks won't

Awesome idea. Beautiful design. Small bug: Amex cards have 4 digit CCV. Although you do show "XXXX" (4 digits) before I start typing, when I get to that field I can only type "123" (3 digits).

I thought in the EU you're legally required to do opt-in. You're not permitted to do opt-out. How can the UK Post Office do opt-out? Is this some UK exemption from the EU law? Or is it the typical government exemption from its own

The other big question was, would Tumblr give up Colbert's data to the government? Karp's answer to that was to blink and say nothing. Both answers, aroma of attorney. May as well have had the lawyer do the interview instead.

Which is ironic since the top category in many of the revenue brackets was "real estate/rental and leasing firms". The building manager might get an old-school W2, but the agent who hooked you two up is likely self-employed.
