In my experience Emacs with Quack (or with Geiser, or with both) indents exactly the same as DrRacket. That's not to say there isn't some corner case where they differ, but it sounds like you're noticing more than that. Try Quack or Geiser.

So if I understand correctly, they could use the same approach when updating to do what they really ought to -- use bcrpyt? As a result the very oldest pwds would be thrice encoded -- from unsalted MD5 to salted SHA-512, and run that throug

I have a genuine not rhetorical question. Use brcypt: http://codahale.com/how-to-safely-store-a-password/ Am I correct that this advice wasn't obvious in the early years of Drupal.org? If so, what ought a site like Drupal.org do, today? S

Aereo.com just launched in Boston last week. I was excited thinking, _this_ is how I can cut the cord and still watch sports. Then I realized how little sports is on broadcast anymore. Try watching hockey playoffs.

Great article. To the extent this references Malcolm Gladwell, isn't 10,000 hours from "Outliers"? If so, the message was nature + nurture + LUCK. For instance to be a great NHL hockey player, you should have a birthday in Jan or Feb. Beca

Exactly. While Jobs may have been a great negotiator, this set of emails doesn't really show it. The outcome of this negotiation was clear before it started. All Jobs had to do was be patient and reasonably polite.

Nice! Tiny suggestion: would prefer a fixed terminal font (courier, consolas, whatever) rather than a Times Roman-ish serif font. Think it would look better and more authentic.

To be clear, I'm not just word-playing. Will Yahoo smother Tumblr with integration projects like single sign-in, leaving insufficient resources to do anything new? Or will it be benign neglect? Or will they actually invest in it as a soci
