This is a great idea. Specifically, I want this enabled when I'm wasting time but not when I'm working. So I'd like it to be enabled only on X.com. This whitelist+blocklist functionality could be a user-side setting like with

Thank you, I will try it, although I'd prefer to translate entire sentences into Thai randomly. Perhaps you can add this advanced mode. Actually, I saw your app before while looking for an alternative to Toucan that supported Thai, but

I think the curriculum areas you're referring to are for learners in the beginning and intermediate stages. In which case, fair enough, although I still think you could get pretty far by just prompting an LLM, as the LLM has read hundr

You should still gamify it. Gamification is orthogonal to whether the tool actually works and positively correlated with whether the user actually uses it.

I disagree because of how AI is progressing and because there's tons of neglected language markets they can pick up. Obviously your approach can work too, perhaps better. But 95% of language learning tools don't support Thai (my t

Unfortunately, I think you will soon learn that the market for advanced language learners is 1/500th the size of the market for beginner learners. But thank you very much and please keep focusing on us.

I'm an advanced learner but I stopped after a few moments because it's boring. It's asking me questions that you'd ask a beginner (although a beginner wouldn't understand the questions). It just asked what food I li

I'm glad someone is building this! I was using this in Thai. I expected it to be awful. But it's actually very good. I only used it for a few minutes but will try to use it more later. It's possibly good enough for me to stop

Well the weird thing is honestly their speech to text recognizes 97% of words correctly. The subtitle content is pretty perfect. It’s just the formatting that’s awful.

Sorry but the new breed of companies like Hims is making our system massively more convenient and cheaper and I won’t pretend they aren’t.

This seems like a good place for me to complain about the fact that the automatically generated subtitle files Youtube creates are horribly malformed. Every sentence is repeated twice. In many subtitle files, the subtitle timestamp ranges o

It's a real edge case, but someone could conceivably let their own domain expire and then register it anew and restore their website. It will be impossible to tell this apart from an SEO buying and restoring a website to use for link j

My simple solution to this problem: we need a law that forces companies to provide a messaging-only version of messaging apps, without algorithmic social feeds.

Yeah there’s a few different levels. 1) not knowing the words 2) knowing all the words but not what they mean together 3) not being able to keep up with the speed at which the sentence is spoken…

I get IG story ads for cocaine, with pictures of cocaine. They go to telegram accounts run by Russians and I know people who have bought from them and they actually deliver cocaine. I also get ads for illegal poker rooms.
