Yup. I use ProtonVPN on account of its Swiss jurisdiction and no-logs policy. It’s not perfect, but puts up enough obstacles for me to feel better about it than some fly-by-night VPN

Something I think gets lost in discussions about mental health is that sometimes people’s lives are just really really shitty. It doesn’t take a genetic predisposition to get to a dark place when your life is falling apart.

no good fix here (other than the "nth" approach). Fortunately, most news sites use sensible divs (for now).

true. also firefox has a "reader mode" that strips everything away... but you have to click to activate. for reference, this[0] is what the above page looked like when I landed on it [0]: https://imgur.com/a/L

Use ublock origin and invest time in zapping the offending divs for the sites you frequent. Within a few weeks you'll find the internet a much more pleasant place.

This was my first thought. I’m surprised how many people don’t know the basic outline.

I’m pretty new to crypto in general, but it seems to me that the primary value of it in coming years would be anonymity/privacy. As I understand it Bitcoin has some problems in this regard, but others have solved it. I just can’t find

I agree with your general point, but in this particular case bandwidth is muddying the waters. 2g tech has less bandwidth dedicated to it now than it did years ago, so your kbps is lower now than it would have been when using 2g in the past

Most people who have been around tech for the past 15 years have stories like this. Maybe they didn't have check's written, but had opportunities to join firms that later boomed huge. Also the title is super-clickbaity. Poor form.

Range was enjoyable, but it was essentially just a mirror image of Outliers. The same sort of interesting anecdotes about some people you've heard of and some you haven't, but saying you should eschew 10k hours in favor of a more

Do you have a template for this? I'd like to submit such a request to my own city.

Same. I tried it in 2016 during an interview and it was incredible... but I don’t have a use case for it and so can’t justify.

I've been using ProtonVPN for a while. Speeds are pretty solid, they have a "secure core", and they claim not to do any logging.
