You seem to be very knowledgeable in regards to the twice exceptional theory. This may be confirmation bias but I feel as if I fall somewhere on the spectrum. What do you suggest for an adult who may be 2e? What online resources have you co

I suffered from rhabdo about two years ago. I was doing 21s (3 sets of 21 barbell curls with a 7/7/7 split of different ROMs). A day or two later my urine was brown and I could not not bend my arm. I ended up self treating by drin

Offtopic, but I've never found a newsfeed / RSS reader that compelling. After a while you've subscribed to say many things that you don't want to (and can't) spend the time required to catch up on everything. Person

I've experimented with Keto many times, the first time I lost about 15lbs (granted I was working a warehouse job at the same time so that had a lot to do with it). Every subsequent time I've tried Keto I've developed a nasty

Great story. I am also working through MIT OCW classes, currently on 6.0001 (Introduction to CS using Python). Just a few questions: - What specific courses did you take? - Did you complete the psets and quizzes / exams to test what yo

How about the folks who work for the tech companies in the area, are they also struggling with rent or is the average salary of an engineer in SV enough to cover the recent increases?

I'm speaking from this perspective, I dropped out of school and barely made it to my CS classes. I learned on the job through internships and resources online. You can test the vets on the knowledge and grant them special certification

I don't see the need for Code Schools. Folks can learn almost anything using the resources of the internet. Provide the vets with books on coding for a specialized curriculum for fee and give them some specialized job prep. Many places

Interesting. I dropped out of a CS degree so I thought the theoretical knowledge was preventing me from getting jobs. If a Stanford Grad has trouble with interviews it seems that CTCI and tools like Leetcode are the way to go.

Honestly I don't think so. No one who I know personally, outside one or two folks who also work in tech and would fit perfectly with HN's demographic, cares about tech spying on them. Friends of mine have gotten home assistants, v

I haven't downloaded the app, does that mean that I was not "spied" on? Is there any indication that Bose could collect data w/o use of the app?

The same skills used in competitive programming are needed to pass a modern day technical interview at some of the larger companies. So I wouldn't necessarily say it has nothing to do with getting a better job or salary.

Nice to see such a great paper from a fellow CUNY grad. NY's city college system is underrated.
