Are you on the Free hosted plan or do you self-host? Regardless of your choice, how’s your experience been?

Yup, that’s the one! I remember having some issues on Arch as well. Had to unpack and dissect the official drivers that Brother provide for Debian or w/e distro was it.

Nice workaround. I run a container with CUPS set up for Air Print as well but I’m using it only with some somewhat-compatible driver for different model. I suppose I could spend more time on it and see if I can make it work with one of the

Based on other similar threads, people tend to suggest Brother. Are there any other (slightly better) alternatives? I need to replace my current color&laser Brother MFA . The printer still works but software support (on MacOS) has been

Thanks, I’ll check out Caddy. Nginx/alpine is what I have now. It’s not bad by any means but I wondered if there’s something even smaller.

What are some web servers suitable for use in containers? I’ve been using httpd or nginx but the images tend to be a bit bloated because it usually comes built on top of a distro. Are there any leaner alternatives?

I’m willing to bet that majority people just approve all the permissions an app asks for. Yes, web page can request your GPS as well, that is true. But a webpage won’t be doing it while the user is not actively using the page. Also remember

My understanding was that the issue stemmed from having the actual app. Or at least that would make sense to me. TikTok has been surrounded by controversies since the beginning - many western countries, not just the US. I may be just crazy

I am not aware of one. The user base seems quite fragmented and decentralized so not sure if there is a way to gauge it. You can probably gather some basic data from packages like popularity contest but the data is going to be quite limited

Distrowatch statistics don’t correlate with real world. They say it themselves here https://distrowatch.com/dwres-mobile.php?resource=popularity As of now, Gentoo is 53rd - below the already dead centos. And Arch is in the

I always tell myself, if I ever start any kind of business, I’ll make sure to host my website as static content on a read only file system. And customer data will be handled by 3rd party

Yah, I was really pissed. I got a refund and yes, it was their preference too. Tbh, at that point it was my preference as well. Had they moved the elderly couple we would be still sitting next to someone clearly sick. No 2hr movie is worth

Last time I went to a theatre, I bought tickets for specific seats. When my wife and I arrived, we discovered elderly couple occupying our seats and leaving us with worse options. I tried to explain to them that we paid for those and they j

I’m not sure. I tried one video and got: Something went wrong! The video could be missing subtitles for the language you selected. So it was TLDR in my case. Almost.

I saw that! I’m sure they will patent it and consumers will be stuck with more traditional designs. Sigh, the patent law really needs a refresh, considering how rapid research and market response became.

I hear you on that. Leaf blowers and mowers. On any given day, there is somebody mowing lawn (or having it mowed) around my house. It’s never ending.

Hi, I don’t mean to sound entitled. Here is my reasoning/ breakdown. Example 1- DFW: $65,000 in a state with not income tax gets you about $4600/month. That does not include medical benefit deductions, HSA or 401k. You can pay eas
