Maybe this is presented badly, but of the strengths some of the companies have if you click on them and view their scores it doesn't seem to properly reflect that? e.g. one of them has Integrity as very low as rated by internal employe

My favorite thing related to this is how it's always hard to know who exactly is "wrong" without reading the whole thing most times.

I only recently understood that my Coax cables are basically like an RF spectrum similar to Wifi except inside the cables. It appears this is taken as obvious because I had a really hard time finding someone explain it like that. I bought t

Thats pretty dismissive of the point of the article which focuses on quickly synthesizing their own interpretation in notes, setting up systems for spaced repetition, and filtering what books to even use this system on (by skimming free sam

You take for granted current working conditions which were won via hard-fought political battles and which affect us to this day. Also what about Maternity leave? Paternity leave? Are those not political? How is negotiating working conditio

While we're focused on the purely "Political" agenda in this conversation, politics of a company include anything from how on-calls work to how sick days are counted. You can work at a company and advocate for changing things

The most obvious reason why you'd use DDG is for the privacy aspects and the bang operators make it super easy to quickly use Google for those times you need it which limits the amount of information they have.

The terms are not absurd, but currently the fight I've seen is around: a) Being able to provide a free app with a subscription you can not buy in the app because of the 30% with IAP you're required to use b) The ability to purchas

Curious what it is. I'm guessing it's not WebGL cause the game isn't running locally. Maybe they're treating it as some kind of special real-time video stream?

I think I've heard some developers of popular apps which have done this who say it's a pain to support the users who do not understand this is for upgrading and then get confused which app to use. The fact that they can't han

Wow, there are a lot more features in this thing than the website says. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaSujCZFIgs I wish they'd explain more on the website on what this offers, how it's configured and etc.

The original idea was giving kids a device they could just connect into a TV (no need to buy a new screen) and learn by screwing up like ~"we all did when computers were simpler." iPads, iPhones, Windows, etc. They're expensi

I would agree with this. Civ 4 is absolutely something some one new to the games should experience. Civ 5 and 6 allow you to control and focus on different things and are definitely, if not improvements, welcomed changes. Humble Bundle has

The hues and implementation of F.lux over the built-in options makes so that even with platform support I'm using F.lux instead. Whatever I'm using on my Pixelbook is jarring. There is a subtlety to making it invisible when lookin

Also have wanted this. Operating on data locally means it can be fast and low latency (on device, not between devices). I think the secret lies in using CRDTs to sync data in a way that allows it to be processed into another system. E.g. P
